Rupee Bank administrator seeks its merger with another lender
"Liquidation is not the solution. Instead, we requested for the merger of the bank with another strong bank and protection of the interest of depositors with deposits of over Rs five lakh," Rupee Co-operative Bank's administrator Sudhir Pandit said.
Bandhan Bank's collection efficiency improves sharplyThe bank's repayment collection from microfinance vertical, which contributes about a third of its loan portfolio, also improved to 86% from 72% over the same period, the bank said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
