Non-life insurance companies register over 7 pc rise in gross premium at Rs 18,953 cr in Dec 2021

In a break-up, the 24 general insurance companies had registered a gross premium of Rs 16,109.62 crore in December 2021, up by 4.2 per cent from Rs 15,463.51 crore in the year-ago period, as per data of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai).

The deal involved ArcelorMittal Nippon and the bank's client Lalit Pipes & Pipes Limited (LPPL). The bank released an LC on behalf of LPPL, which required such a non-fund-based credit line for a business transaction with ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, India (AM/NS). The entire deal was executed digitally on the platform.
